Peace Is Beautiful but a Distant Dream* _(A paradox of seeking truth in a world of contradictions)_ Captain Mohamed Hassan Al-Taher

Date: August 16, 2025*

Among the words immortalized by history, Martin Luther King’s phrase _“I have a dream”_ remains an icon of human hope. It was not just a statement, but a moral promise that justice can prevail and peace can reign. Yet when we place this phrase beside the title of this article, a painful contradiction emerges: the dream is beautiful, yes—but distant, like a mirage in the desert of global politics.

*💫 The Relationship Between Dream and Beauty*:

It’s not merely a linguistic connection, but a philosophical one. Dreams often reflect the most noble aspects of the human soul: aspiration, hope, and the desire to transcend reality toward something better. But beauty alone is not enough to realize a dream—especially when that dream is peace.

*🌿 “Peace Is Beautiful”*

This part acknowledges that peace—whether between nations, communities, or individuals—is inherently desirable. It is associated with harmony, safety, compassion, and justice. The word _beautiful_ evokes emotional and moral admiration, suggesting that peace is not just good, but profoundly inspiring.

*“But a Distant Dream”*

This part introduces a sobering contrast. It implies that while peace is ideal and lovely in theory, it feels unattainable or far removed from current reality. The phrase _distant dream_ suggests:

– Something we long for but cannot quite reach.

– A vision that exists more in imagination than in practice.

– A goal obstructed by conflict, politics, or human nature.

*🧠 Overall Meaning*

The full phrase expresses a bittersweet truth:

> Peace is one of humanity’s most cherished ideals, yet it remains elusive—especially in a world riddled with contradictions, power struggles, and unresolved tensions.

It reflects the gap between

– what we aspire to and

– what we actually live through.

*💥 Why Doesn’t the World Dream of Normalizing Arab-Israeli Relations?*

If peace is a beautiful dream, why doesn’t the world dream of normalizing relations between Arabs and Israelis?

The answer is complex, but it begins with the realization that theoretical beauty does not guarantee practical implementation. A call for peace between two adversaries is not merely a political decision—it is a moral test of global conscience. Normalization is not just about agreements; it is about mutual recognition of humanity.

*🧠 Leadership: A Factory for Peace or for Annihilation?*

Yesterday, while listening to the joint meeting between Trump and Putin, the dialogue began with diplomatic flattery, then shifted to a sober tone calling for a resolution to the Ukraine crisis. But a question came to mind:

– *Do they mean what they say, or

– Do they say what they mean?*

–

Are leaders sincere in their intentions? Or are their words merely tools in the game of interests?

Leadership can be a factory for peace—if intentions are genuine. Or a factory for annihilation—if driven solely by self-interest.

*🔥 Creative Chaos and Its Failure*

It is time to admit that the theory of _creative chaos_ has produced nothing but thousands of deaths and millions of psychological casualties. It was merely an attempt to justify manipulation of global stability.

Thus, the solution does not lie in more chaos, but in acknowledging its failure—both in theory and practice—and seeking more humane alternatives.

*🔄 The Alternative: A Renewed Normalization Mechanism to Break the Frozen Bridge of Relations*

To resolve global chaos, the vision must expand through a renewed mechanism with purpose and direction, based on the following elements:

– *Multideals*:

Multi-party agreements that transcend narrow bilateralism.

– *Transformative Shift*:

A radical change in political thinking.

– *New Normalizing Cycle*:

A new cycle of normalization, not based solely on interests, but on a deep understanding of humanity.

– *Teleological Mechanisms*:

Anticipatory mechanisms that foresee conflict and redirect it toward balance, by addressing:

– _Conflict of Affect_: Emotional and identity-based conflict.

– _Conflict of Interest_: Economic and political conflict.

To renew relationships and restore them to a dynamic equilibrium, the _new normal_ is not a fixed state, but a continuous product of stimuli and responses that generate a new balance point.

*✨ Conclusion: The Dream Doesn’t Die—It Needs Carriers*

Peace is a beautiful dream, but it will only be realized if carried by sincere leaders, conscious societies, and mechanisms that transcend chaos toward balance.

– Do we have the courage to dream?

– Do we have the wisdom to turn that dream into reality?
