The Printed and Manufactured Personality (A Reading into the Essence and Diversity of Humanity: The Constant and the Variable) _Captain Mohamed Hassan Al-Tahir

_Date: September 19, 2025_

In Sudanese musical heritage, the poets of my homeland have often described the Sudanese personality in their verses. For example:

– Al-Atbaraawi sang: _“Welcome twice to our country, and to the land and those who resemble it.”_

– Ismail Hassan wrote: _“They honor the neighbor, die for the neighbor’s rights, and wipe the tears of the sorrowful.”_

From here, and through studying the impact of history on individual psychology—and considering today’s world where nature intersects with industry, and genes intertwine with experiences—personality emerges as one of the most complex and rich concepts in understanding humanity. It is the psychological and behavioral fingerprint that distinguishes one individual from another, revealing a unique blend of traits, values, and attitudes.

*🧠 Definition of Personality*

Personality is a set of psychological and behavioral traits that determine how an individual thinks, feels, and interacts with the world. It is shaped by:

– *Genetic factors (printed)*

– *Life experiences (manufactured)*

It serves as a mirror of human identity and a key to understanding the self.

*⚙️ The Relationship Between Industry and Nature in Shaping Personality*

– *Nature (Printed):* Refers to the genetic and biological factors a person is born with, such as innate temperament, intelligence, and psychological predispositions.

– *Industry (Manufactured):* Represents environmental and social influences, such as upbringing, education, culture, and personal experiences.

Thus, personality is not a final product, but a continuous process of interaction between the innate and the acquired.

*🎭 The Origin of the Word*

The word _personality_ is linked to the Latin word _persona_, which referred to the mask worn by actors in theater. This origin reflects the idea that personality may be a social façade or representation, but it also carries an inner depth that reveals the true self.

*🌍 Diversity of Personalities (Historical and Cultural Models)*

– *Jewish Personality:* Focused on identity, education, and survival through historical challenges. A personality with deep philosophical and spiritual dimensions.

*Moses*

– A humble leader, carrying a message of liberation and transformation.

*🔥 Nimrod*

*📊 Measuring Personality Using the SWOT Framework*

DimensionInterpretation in Personality *Strengths* Positive traits like generosity, intelligence, leadership *Weaknesses* Shortcomings such as hesitation or excessive emotionality *Opportunities* Potential for personal growth and development *Threats* External challenges affecting personalityApplying this model to the Sudanese personality reveals:

– *Strengths:* Tolerance

– *Opportunities:* Global cultural influence

– *Threats:* Weak media representation and economic challenges

*🧭 The Global Weight of the Sudanese Personality*

The Sudanese personality carries a distinctive cultural and human significance. It stands as a model of coexistence, folk wisdom, and communal spirit. Despite the limited global spotlight, its uniqueness in poetry, folklore, and spirituality grants it a rare and valuable essence.

From this perspective, a compelling question arises:

*🌌 Is the Sudanese Personality Universal?*

Yes, the Sudanese personality can be considered universal because it:

– *Embodies profound humanity* that transcends geographical boundaries

– *Carries universal values* such as tolerance, generosity, and respect

– *Demonstrates the ability to engage with other cultures* without losing its identity

It is a personality that reflects the essence of humanity—not its external form—and expresses a spirit capable of speaking to the world in its own language.

Yet, the voice of this personality continues to echo:

– _“Every blessed one is envied.”_

– _“If not from my dough, then who will come to me?”_

And Al-Atbaraawi was right when he said:

_“Our motto is love and friendship—for those whose morals are pure.”_
