*Sudan: God’s Chosen People*

_✨ Divine Providence and the Fulfillment of Destiny Through the People of Sudan ✨_

Throughout the course of human history, there are pivotal moments where _divine providence_ intervenes to chart a new path for nations and peoples. At its core, divine providence is _God’s hidden care for His servants, His wise orchestration of causes and destinies to bring about justice and goodness_. In this context, the _people of Sudan_ emerge as a nation with a special presence in Islamic texts and prophetic references rich with promise and significance.

*📖 The People of Sudan in the Qur’an and Sunnah*

Although the word “Sudan” is not explicitly mentioned in the Qur’an, various Islamic texts allude to the _virtue and significance of the people of this region_ in the journey of the divine message.

– *The Negus (Al-Najashi)*, King of Abyssinia, was among the first to shelter Muslims during their early migration. He stood firmly against Quraysh, refusing to surrender the oppressed. The Prophet ﷺ said of him: _“Go to Sudan, for therein lies a king under whom no one is wronged.”_ The Prophet ﷺ also performed the rare prayer of absentee funeral for him, a unique honor in Islamic history.

– *Bilal ibn Rabah*, the Abyssinian, was the first muezzin in Islam and a symbol of steadfastness in faith. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: _“I heard the sound of your footsteps in Paradise,”_ —a distinction beyond compare.

– In *Surah Al-Waqi’ah*, Allah says: _“A multitude from the former generations and a multitude from the later ones.”_ Some interpretations suggest that the “multitude from the later ones” refers to _nations that will embrace the message in the end times—including the people of Sudan—who will uphold the faith and establish the religion_.

*🐪 The Hadith of “Camel Herders from Sudan”*

Among the prophetic traditions that carry profound implications for Sudan’s role in the future of the Ummah is the hadith in which the Prophet ﷺ said:

_“Our group will not be complete until we seek help from the Sudanese camel herders.”_

In another narration: _“From Adam to me is one group, and from me to the Day of Judgment is another group, and it will not be complete except by Sudanese camel herders who say: ‘There is no god but Allah.’”_

This hadith is understood as a _prophetic glad tidings of the inclusion of the Sudanese people in the ranks of the faithful at a decisive moment in history_, signifying that the fulfillment of the divine plan is incomplete without their participation. It was narrated in the context of the Prophet’s vision of the prophets and their followers, indicating the _spiritual and temporal continuity of the Islamic nation_.

*🧭 Divine Providence in the Journey of Nations*

Reflecting on these references, we realize that _divine providence is not measured by wealth or geography, but by faith and moral stance_. God has willed that the people of Sudan play a role in _supporting the religion—in Syria, Gaza, Palestine, the October War, and in defending both believers and the oppressed—and in embracing the vulnerable and contributing to the fulfillment of the Ummah’s destiny_. This is not ethnic favoritism, but _a tribute to historical and spiritual positions_.

*🪔 Conclusion:*

*The Fulfillment of Destiny by the Promise of Heaven*

The mention of the Sudanese people in Islamic texts is not a passing reference, but _a manifestation of divine providence that shapes history in ways beyond human expectation_. The divine plan reaches completion only when all parts of the Ummah unite and share the burden of the message.

Thus, _the people of Sudan are not on the margins of history, but at its heart—by divine promise, prophetic glad tidings, and the laws of God that grant victory to those who support His cause_.

And the wise understand with a hint!
