*The Qur’anic Meaning as a Manifestation of Transcendence Beyond Structures*

Capt Mohammed Hassan Al-Tahir_

_Date: November 26, 2025_

🌟 _In a world where the senses intersect with the intellect, and matter blends with spirit, meanings emerge as living entities that breathe within the space of language. They take shape within the structures of expression, yet are not confined by them._

Meaning is not merely a linguistic signifier—it is a manifestation of consciousness, which may be immediate and momentary, or transcendent, surpassing time and space.

—

*🧠 Meaning Between Immediate Understanding and Transcendence*

When we read or listen, we may grasp meaning in the moment, like a flash of lightning illuminating the darkness of ignorance. This is immediate understanding, formed through direct interaction between text and mind. Yet, meaning often transcends this level, soaring into a broader realm where it becomes an existential experience—one that surpasses the boundaries of language and touches the horizon of the soul.

At this point, meaning is no longer just “understanding,” but a _manifestation_ that awakens deeper awareness within us.

—

*✨ Meaning Between Abstraction and Renewal*

Meanings oscillate between abstraction and renewal:

– *Abstraction* grants them a universal quality, making them open to interpretation across eras and cultures.

– *Renewal* breathes new life into them within every context.

Take for example the word _“light”_ in the verse:

*“Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche…”*

This is not merely visual light—it is a representation of a renewed meaning that transcends sensory perception, illuminating the path of guidance and consciousness.

When viewed through the lens of neurolinguistics, this metaphor reveals how the human brain responds to figurative imagery as if it were a real sensory experience, deepening the impact of meaning on the psyche.

—

*🌌 The Human Being as an Energetic System*

The human being is not merely a material entity, but an energetic system that interacts with the universe through its electromagnetic fields. These invisible forces influence our awareness, our moods, and our capacity to perceive meaning.

Just as a mobile phone antenna captures the right frequency, so too do the heart and mind capture meanings when they are in a state of _vibrational harmony_ with the cosmos.

Here, we recall the prophetic saying:

*“Indeed, in the days of your life, there are divine breezes—so expose yourselves to them.”*

These breezes are moments when the gates of meaning open—available to those whose hearts are prepared to receive them.

—

*🔥 From Fire to Light: Moses and the Manifested Meaning*

When Moses (peace be upon him) saw a fire, it was not merely a physical flame—it was a gateway to a greater manifestation:

*“When he came to it, he was called: ‘O Moses, indeed I am Allah.’”*

Here, sensory perception (the fire) transforms into spiritual perception (the divine call).

This shift from the apparent to the hidden, from the sensory to the meaningful, is the essence of manifestation.

This is precisely what psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics explore—language as a bridge between:

– The self and the world

– Inner experience and outward expression

—

*🧬 The Eternal Dispute*

In the primordial scene of creation, Allah declared:

*“Indeed, I am creating a human being from clay, from molded mud.”*

Here, meaning was manifested in the act of creation and in the honoring of humanity.

Yet Iblis, with a rigid materialistic gaze, saw only the clay and refused to bow, saying:

*“I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”*

In that moment, the transcendent meaning was lost, and only superficial understanding remained—leading to the fall. The absence of meaning does not imply its nonexistence, but rather the absence of readiness to receive it.

—

*🕊️ Conclusion: Meaning as a Call to Transcendence*

Meanings are not granted—they are discovered. They are divine breezes, flashes, illuminations, accessible only to those who _expose themselves to them_ with:

– An open heart

– A contemplative mind

– A transcendent spirit

Every linguistic structure is a mirror of meaning, and every meaning is a call to ascend.

Thus, in the interplay between:

– Abstraction and renewal

– Sensation and spirit

– Clay and light

Meanings are revealed to those who seek to see—or to those who lend an ear while being present.

*So turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers.*
