The Political Event between Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet) and Lawh Al-Mahw wal-Ithbat (The Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation)_ _Capt. Mohammed Hassan Al-Tahir_

Date: October 14, 2026
Knowledge begins with a question:
What is really happening?
This is the question of politics, thought, and religion at the same time.
We think we live actions, but in truth we live events. And between them there is a vast difference that leads us to the next question:
– What is the event?
In order to understand what the event is, we must dismantle the enigmas of the (triangle) of action, actor, and reaction.
The Action (I do) is:
– What emanates from a conscious will.
– A decision that begins from inside to outside.
The Actor is:
– The owner of the will.
– Who has the ability to do and not to do.
As for the Reaction is:
– What happens to you.
– The effect of someone else’s action on you. You do not do it, but it is done to you.
And here appears the wisdom of the wise and the meanness of the mean, and its result breeds the event.
So the Event is:
– The meeting of action and reaction in a moment of time and a point of space.
So it is neither a pure action nor a pure reaction, but it is the collision:
– I throw a stone (action),
– It falls on a man’s head (his reaction),
– People scream (event).
All Sudanese politics that we live is events, not pure actions.
– Each party acts,
– Then reacts to what the other did,
– So a third event is produced that no one planned, mostly on the continuum of the distance between reaction and fabrication, but it does not cease, according to our belief, to be a suspended destiny between erasure and confirmation, which often comes from an actor whose destiny is suspended between being free to choose or predestined, to whom the saying applies (your brother is coerced…) which determines his destiny in Umm Al-Kitab… and with Him is Umm Al-Kitab.
In our creed there are two tablets:
First, Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet):
It includes the major ends and the universal laws that do not change, such as
– That injustice is bound to vanish,
– And that truth prevails,
– And that every nation has a term.
This is a tablet in which there is no erasure (the total destiny). Then comes the saying of Allah Almighty:
– _﴿Allah erases what He wills and confirms, and with Him is the Mother of the Book﴾_ [Ar-Ra’d: 39].
Second, Lawh Al-Mahw wal-Ithbat (The Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation):
– The tablet of daily details,
– The tablet of causes and premises,
– The tablet of decisions that can be erased and confirmed by supplication, work, and planning (the partial destiny).
And between these two tablets three types of behavior are born:
_1. Action is the behavior of the people of Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz and it is connected to the major goal, knows its end, steadfast, does not tremble. The action of prophets and strategic reformers.
_2. Reaction is the behavior of the people of the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation when they become a feather in the wind of every news and rumor.
– Today with so-and-so and tomorrow against him, according to what is erased and confirmed before them. It is a reaction, not an action. Its owner loses authenticity and is often linked to fabrication, and here comes the catastrophe.
_3. Fabrication is to fabricate an event in the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation to think that you have changed Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz.
It is a play, a political theater. You fabricate a battle, fabricate a crisis, fabricate a heroism, and all of it will be erased after a while because it was not connected to the Sunnah of Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz and was not linked to the overall purpose and He has colonized you therein…
Our crisis today is that most of our political movement is _fabrication_ in the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation, and we forgot to connect with the constants of Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz, and from here comes that when a touch from Satan touched them, they remembered, and then they were seers…
The story of Moses, peace be upon him, is the best to be taken as an example in such events, where we find that Moses went to bring the tablets _﴿And We wrote for him on the tablets of all things – instruction﴾_. This is idealism, it is the final principles.[something]
But when he returned, he found his people worshipping the calf. He found reality in the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation had collapsed.
What did Moses do?
Allah Almighty said: _﴿And he threw down the tablets and seized his brother by [the hair of] his head, dragging him toward him﴾_ [Al-A’raf: 150].
This scene is the peak of human reaction for a prophet. Even Moses detached for a moment from Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz, and acted with a reaction from the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation.
He threw the principles for the sake of reality. He became angry, so the result was when Moses hastened, his people hastened and worshipped the calf…
But the Qur’an depicts for us the immediate divine correction:
_﴿And when the anger subsided from Moses, he took up the tablets﴾_ [Al-A’raf: 154].
Note the expression:
Anger is the one who subsided, as if it were an independent actor. And when the reaction subsided, the action returned. He returned to Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz. He took the tablets again.
_The political lesson teaches us that
– The wise leader may throw the tablets in a moment of anger, may react,
But his rationality coefficient is measured by his ability to pick them up again when anger subsides from him.
As for the foolish leader, he throws the tablets then breaks them, then dances over their wreckage and thinks he has won. And that is because he violates the rationality coefficient, and from here for the rest of rationality, the following question must be asked:
– How do we know that an event was wisdom or recklessness?
The answer is whether wisdom is not measured by the number of crowds, but by a precise coefficient of three layers including
First, Image and Consciousness:
– What was the image that was in the actor’s mind at the moment of the event?
– Was it an image from Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz (that therein is a king under whom no one is wronged), or an image from the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation (defeating my opponent today only and my believing country)
If the image is blurred, then consciousness is blurred, and the whole event is fallen, no matter how huge it seems.
Moses, when he threw the tablets, his images were blurred by the event of the calf, but his deep consciousness restored it.
Second, Anatomy of Judgement:
– How did you judge the event?
– Did you dissect the judgement accurately?
No doubt the wise judgement passes through four questions:
The Principle:
– Is this truth or falsehood?
The Reality:
– Is this possible or impossible?
The Timing:
– Is this its time or not?
The Cost:
– Is its price greater than its benefit?
These questions must be answered, and the person of reason distinguishes.
Moses, when he dragged his brother, failed in estimating timing and cost
Therefore Allah reproached him in a gentle style that calms the adrenaline enzyme
Allah Almighty said: when anger subsided from him.
Many of our political judgements today are born in the street and die in the street as a result of anger and silence, so it is incumbent upon the person of intellect and thought to calm anger and choose the path that is connected to Allah.
Third: The relationship of the course of action to the goal:*
And here is the final scale. And from it the following question is born:
– Does the course of action you chose have a real connection to your major goal (Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz).
No doubt the test of soundness of mind appears at choice, for our Prophet chose the fitra, so he was guided and his nation was guided, for he succeeded in choosing the course that achieves the goal by which people are reformed…
– To wage a war for the sake of peace, a course that has a connection to the goal
– To lie for the sake of truth, a course cut off from the goal
– To fabricate a provocative sedition by claiming intelligence, a reversed course.
And here the choice must be measured according to the rationality coefficient
– Does what you do today in the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation confirm something in Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz, or does it erase it?
Conclusion
The successful political event is one that
– Begins from Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz (a ثابت principle),
– Passes through the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation (a flexible plan subject to erasure and confirmation),
– Then returns to be confirmed in Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz.
And the failed event is one that
– Begins from the Tablet of Erasure and Confirmation (anger, rumor)
– And fabricates noise in the self
– Then is erased as if it never was, and leaves behind broken tablets.
Moses threw the tablets, but he picked them up. We have thrown the tablets for decades, so is it time for anger to subside from us to pick them up?
